PETER SEDUFIA & KOFI ASAMOAH AWAY BUS IS A MUST SEE - REVIEW .

Released in 2019, Away Bus shocked the audience, questioning the very root of the Ghanaian family life ideal. A powerful and aggravating tragical comedy, created by Peter Sedufia & Kofi Asamoah and a wonderful cast of Padlock (Kalybos) Bibi (Salma Mumin) Kiki (Fella Makafui) Aunty Muni (Kalsoume Sinare) amongst others, exploits the usual topic of the poor family crisis.

The film is not an ordinary one for today’s cinematograph. In as much as you will see top famous actors and actresses in the cast. Then, there are no much graphical effects in this movie. But cinematography was good being it sound, light, setting, soundtrack and all. However, it is not as important as the story itself and what creators wanted to say to the audience. Away Bus gives you a cause to think about the world you live in and your role in it. It shows the life as it is – with all the events happening around to each one of us. The story is about choice and the fact that everyone has to make it. You will never be 100% sure what is right and what is wrong – no one knows where the truth is, because there is actually no truth.

This is a story of two sisters Bibi and Kiki who need to raise an amount of Ghc 20000 to fund their dying mothers’ operation. After being turned down by all possible sources help could come from, they risk their lives to rob a bus on a high way using fake guns, with the help of master planner Padlock, an area kingpin.

This movie touched many real-life scenarios, an example is the scene where a passenger on the bus was shot dead. It tells viewers how to comport themselves if found in such situations, which of course we all pray it never happens. Another scene is where a beautiful young lady tried drawing the attention of a police patrol team member with a wink when they caught up with them, but the police couldn’t get the signal because of perception we have about wink.

Generally, the film is not bad- much better than some fiction productions we are being fed regularly. We will not rate, we leave you film lovers to see this movie as well. Good job Old films; good job Kofas media.
